Feeling old… and loving my job

Today I’m reminiscing a little bit (in my world that’s code language for “feeling old”).  One of the blessings of photography is the long-lasting relationships we have with clients.  We often get to walk with them through some of their most important life moments.  Landon and Blaze are a perfect example.  Documenting their love story was the first step (I actually knew Landon when he was a senior in high school and could have taken his senior pictures… but I was a brand new, realllllly bad photographer at that point.  Nobody should have to go through that).  I love this funny shot from their engagement session.

And here’s the behind-the-scenes shot that made me sad.  Look at our sweet little Ben!  He was so small here, getting in the way of the shot.  I remember these days of having little ones with me on shoots and having to worry about where they were and what they were doing.  Now Ben is almost 7 and I don’t have to worry much at all about those things.  But I miss worrying.  I do.

But this is about them, not me.  Sorry for my distraction.

Fast forward to this awesome day, when Landon and Blaze got married.  I love this image of their first look.mg_0662bh A stunning bride and a handsome groom…mg_0698

It’s so fun to watch the love expand from two into three.

Peyton is one lucky little guy.
