Our trip to Chicago wouldn’t have been complete without a visit to meet our new nephew!
David’s sister Monica is a natural mother. It’s a role she was meant to play. Just seeing her sitting on the couch with baby Micah David said, “I remember when she was a little girl sitting on the couch playing with her dolls just like that – and now she’s finally got her own”. But as any mother can tell you: baby dolls were never this good.
Unsure about Uncle David….
This image reminds me of a saying David’s Granny used to have hanging in her house that I always loved.
It’s the last stanza of “Song for a Fifth Child” by Ruth Hulbert Hamilton
“The cleaning and scrubbing will wait till tomorrow,
For children grow up, as I’ve learned to my sorrow.
So quiet down, cobwebs. Dust go to sleep.
I’m rocking my baby and babies don’t keep.”
We can’t wait to see you again baby Micah. Don’t grow up too fast.
I love these sweet pictures of Monica and Micah!!! Thanks so much for sharing them!!!
You know I love them. He is so precious.
