The Clique – photography class

Last weekend we fulfilled a little dream of ours.  David and I have always talked about hosting our own photography class for all those moms who have nice cameras and don’t know what to do with them (yep!  I used to be one of those myself!).  So we put some feelers out to see if there would be any interest… and BOY, was there interest!  So we partnered with our good friends and fellow photographers Jon and Julie Stephens of Calotype Photography, and had ourselves a little photo shindig.  (pictured below is Dave in his manly pink shirt – look carefully at the slide photos of Dave jowling to illustrate the amount of blur you get with your camera set at different shutter speeds!)Our class was held at The Beehive Collaborative, a newly opened art space just off the historic square in Carthage.  Not only was it a fun, creative space, but it’s big front windows made for a great spot to practice window light photography, and right outside the door were lots of cool urban locations! Our gorgeous model for the morning class was Kim.  She worked it!Our afternoon model was handsome Jack.  Yep.  He worked it too. : )Then we just went kind of wild and all started photographing each other!  If you had been at the class, you would know why the images below look so different…. ; )Our good-lookin’ groups!A BIG thank you to Black River Imaging, who surprised all our attendees with a goodie bag that included a $50 gift card to use toward prints and products created with their new camera skills!  Interested in being informed about our next class?  Follow us on facebook or send us a private message.  Interested in having us conduct a workshop in your area?  Let us know; we might just be able to make it happen!  Thanks to all our awesome attendees for making our class so much fun!
