Chicago!

Here is Aunt Monica… and Chicago.  We went to visit both.

Here is Union Depot.  Where we boarded the train.  To go to Chicago.  To visit Aunt Monica (& Uncle Truitt).

Here are the headphones.  That Ben wore on the train.  To keep him quiet.  When we went to Chicago.  To visit Aunt Monica. This is the picture that I think is so sweet.  Of me on the train.  With my little boy.  When we went to Chicago.  To visit Aunt Monica. This is the Aquarium.  Where we saw 10,000 turtles.  And I wore the wrong shoes.  When we went to Chicago.  To visit Aunt Monica. This is the look.  That means it’s almost naptime.  When we were still at the Aquarium.  On our trip to Chicago.  To visit Aunt Monica. This is the view.  That made me wonder where Oprah lives.  When we went to Chicago.  To visit Aunt Monica. This is the Field Museum.  When we first went in.  Before someone threw a fit.  And it wasn’t me.  When we went to Chicago.  To visit Aunt Monica. This is the gyro.  Veggie style.  That I ate on the beach.  As the sun went down.  When we went to Chicago.  To visit Aunt Monica. This is the girl.  Who made me laugh.  And forget everything else.  When we went to Chicago.  To visit Aunt Monica. This is the picture.  That I am having framed.  To hang on my wall.  To remember this day.  When we went to Chicago.  To visit Aunt Monica. This is the cockpit.  Of the airplane we flew home in.  From our week in Chicago.  To visit  Aunt Monica. This is the reason.  That I lugged my camera.  Around Chicago.  To visit Aunt Monica.  To have this memory.  To keep this moment.

  1. I stumble across a lot of blog posts, and many are sweet, but this is really a cut above the vast majority. It could form the basis for a magazine article easily.

    Wonderful pictures on the beach.
