If your birthday started out like this, wouldn’t you think it was going to be a good year?
Yep, me too. This is the best grilled cheese sandwich I’ve ever had in my life. Ever. Could be something to do with the homemade bread it’s made on, or the fact that I didn’t have to make it myself. The french onion soup is simply a bonus. It’s from Browning’s Cafe in the heart of Salado, TX. Which is also the home of one of my favorite photography studios…
Yes. The one with an ENTIRE WALL of north-facing windows… every photographer’s dream for the most beautiful, soft light. This space used to be the home of “Sir Wigglesworth”, my favorite funky shop in Salado years ago before it was purchased and converted into this amazing place. Solas Gallery. The owner, Tim Flanagan (the one with his hands in his pockets… oh, wait : ) has been such an inspiring and generous mentor to us. A couple of years ago, when we were still part-time and just starting out, we asked/begged to pay for an hour of his time. He not only gave us more than one hour of his time at no charge, but equipped us with tools we still use today in our business. We left so encouraged and with a vision of what our own business could be. Tim’s not only an amazing talent behind the camera, but runs his business with such heart and integrity. He’s one of those people who is so incredibly deserving of all his success. And we are his biggest fans.
Take a look around this incredible studio.
The newest addition is the glass “Baby House”.
Isn’t this just the sweetest space to bring your baby? Makes me want to have another one… almost.
Our heartfelt thanks to Tim for his ongoing inspiration.
