The Wedding of Jacque & Kris

Kris & Jacque’s wedding has been on our books for a year… which has been so neat, because I’ve had the opportunity to get to know, especially Jacque, quite well (since we girls were the ones doing all the pre-wedding details… except for the engagement photos – see them here).  Not many occupations allow you to start with a client and end with a friend, so I feel privileged to have been part of this special day not only to photograph it, but to share it with people whose relationship I genuinely care about.

My philosophy on wedding photography is this:  the pictures from your day should reflect not only the way the day looked, but how it felt.  I think that’s why I love this picture of Kris & Jacque when they saw each other for the first time.  There’s such a sweetness and intimacy to it.  _MG_6035b-p_MG_5992 _MG_6515 _MG_6551v _MG_6606 _MG_6630v

After a morning of rain, rain and more rain, the sun came out right at the end of the ceremony…_MG_6637… just in time for this.

Our heartfelt thanks to Jacque, Kris and your families for a wonderful day.  May your marriage be blessed.
